films, who are eager to take on the role of a Junior
Assistant Director. The job will entail assisting the First
Assistant Director in planning and executing day-to-day
operations of the production, in coordinating schedules for
rehearsals and shoots as well as in the management of all
crew members and actors. The Junior Assistant director is
also required to help identify and apply efficient
troubleshooting where necessary, in the effort to ensure all
operations run smoothly and in compliance with the

the industry, having worked on some of the biggest films in
Malaysia and internationally. The role of the Assistant
Director is a key pillar in the principle photography

Diploma or Degree in Film, Media, Broadcasting or related

First-Aid knowledge is preferred.
Proficient in operating Pages, Numbers, Microsoft Words
and Microsoft Excel
Proficient in operating Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier Pro
and/or industry friendly editing softwares preferred.

and IP, to participating in the ideation process, as well as
managing the process of crafting stories into screenplays

input. Development Executives are also expected to read
submissions from writers and directors, produce in-house
coverage and track local and regional talent. Training will
be provided in all the above areas by Blackflag’s inhouse
Director of Development and this unique role is a superb
